Dr. Elyssa Sterneck earned her bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2025. While in veterinary school, she conducted research in canine heart disease and traveled to India to volunteer in a spay-and-neuter program for dogs and cats—experiences that deepened her commitment to both animal health and global veterinary medicine. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery, and she is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.

Originally from Seattle and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Sterneck also spent part of her childhood living in Japan. She is conversational in Japanese and looks forward to connecting with Japanese-speaking clients in the community. Outside the clinic, she is a big foodie who enjoys exploring new restaurants and traveling. Dr. Sterneck is excited to join the Elmwood Grove team and care for your fluffy and hairless friends!
